My mom located Dr Owen first and when I saw the considerate, loving and concerned care she showed my parents, I became a patient as well. Then after suffering a stroke in 2005, my husband became a patient as well seeing how we loved and praised her. We lived too far away, but that never stopped us from traveling to see Dr Owen no matter what our need. This has continued until recently when Dr Owen advised us that she was making a move back to Decatur to open her own practice. So -- we will travel now to Decatur! There are some things that we will give up but our Dr Owen is not one of those.
Dr Owen uses her education, her expertise, but mostly her heart in treating her patients. Genuine concern for her patients and their welfare constitutes a bond that we don’t wish to break.

I couldn’t let you leave without writing you a “goodbye” note, knowing that I probably would never see you again. Dr. Owen, it has been such a pleasure knowing you and having you as my care taker/doctor. I always felt so satisfied after a visit with you. Your “bedside” manner was so comforting and your genuine concern for whatever brought me in was real.
From the first time I met you, I respected you and never doubted your opinion and diagnosis. I can only envy all the new patients who will have the opportunity to have you as their family doctor. How lucky they will be.

When Dr. Marion Owen told me that she was convinced that my rheumatoid arthritis could be caused by “leaky gut”, I admit that I was skeptical. Still, I was willing to try anything that might relieve my joint pain and fatigue. Because anti-rheumatic drugs are expensive and have unpredictable side effects, I was willing to try a different approach. I followed Dr. Owen’s instructions and implemented a new diet and now I am symptom-free. My energy level is restored and I have no pain. My eczema has disappeared to boot!
